About Nicholas County Court Docket

Nicholas County court dockets and case records are divided among the Circuit Clerk, Magistrate Court Clerk, city clerks, and statewide search systems. We built this private reference resource to make that split easier to follow. It directs readers to official portals, verified office contacts, and the right custodian for a court date, docket entry, filed document, or certified copy. The goal is simple: help people reach the government office that holds the original record without mistaking this site for a court.

Why We Built This Site

West Virginia does not place every Nicholas County matter in one search box. WVPASS covers public Circuit and Family Court records, while MCR Search covers Magistrate Court case information. Municipal ordinance matters stay with Summersville or Richwood, and probate records belong with the County Clerk. The Nicholas County Circuit Clerk remains the official source for circuit files, older records, and certified copies. This site brings those routes together and explains which clerk, portal, or court is the sound first stop.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to a West Virginia court, clerk, or state agency. Those limits matter:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that a phone number, fee, or setting has not changed

Only the clerk or court holding the original file can issue an official or certified copy. The Nicholas County Circuit Clerk and Magistrate Court Clerk are the primary county custodians.

Search Partners

Some pages contain search boxes supplied by third-party companies. Those providers control their services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. The sponsored tools are separate from WVPASS, MCR Search, and the offices of the Nicholas County courts.
